Last week Jeff ventured off to Kohl's- by himself- to return/exchange a pair of shorts we had purchased and were marked wrong (the size was). I wasn't sure if he could do it on his own... would he be honest and yet polite with the sales clerk? Would he know what shorts they were to begin with and thus try a different pair on? Would he be sure to try it on before he purchases it? All these thoughts ran through my head. But he reassured me that he would, in fact, be okay making the exchange.
And he was! I was very proud of him.
But he came back with more than just shorts... he found a t-shirt for himself... Now, sidenote here: Jeffrey is probably the KING of t-shirts. He has plain solid colored ones. He has old ones from things he's been part of (basketball, NIU, Laser Tag, etc...). And he has a ton of those printed ones you can find in most any store: Dr. Pepper, Green Eggs and Ham, Dunder Mifflin, etc... So basically, long story short, Jeff isn't aching for any new t-shirts.
I must admit, though, he came home with this t-shirt:
...and I really, really liked it. I didn't roll my eyes at the fact he bought another t-shirt. Instead, I actually LIKED that shirt and really wanted one for myself. (LOL!) Secretly, I wondered if I could shrink it. If I did, he'd not be able to wear it, but perhaps I could wear it! I mentioned this to my mom- and she thought I was funny. Hey- a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do!
No. I didn't shrink Jeff's shirt. But if you see us out and about, don't be surprised if we're wearing MATCHING Johnny Cash t-shirts. Because my mama is amazing and she got me a size small- so we do have two Johnny Cash t-shirts in our home now... both will be worn A LOT!
PS: It's not just a cool shirt because it's a Johnny Cash shirt. It's a "When the Man Comes Around" shirt! Jeff and I LOVE that song. It's on my most recent (Johnny Cash- go figure) playlist if you want to hear it.
