Did I tell you that my hernia is back? If you're pretty close to me (locally and personally) I'm sure I mentioned it to you in some way...
The belly button hernia (that's what I call it, because "umbilical hernia" sounds too sophisticated for my liking) is back and it's achier than ever. I saw the surgeon last week, and I'm waiting to hear when she can do surgery... again. Third time's a charm, right?
She plans to use gore-tex lined mesh. I'm very excited about this because gore-tex was used to repair my heart! My sister, Molly, is pretty sure that one day I will be some sort of super hero that is completely made of gore-tex... and I'm pretty sure she's right.
