There are no adoption updates at this time. We will hear from our adoption worker tomorrow as to when our birth mother will be induced. Then we'll just take it from there.
My wonderful husband took me on a date last night. Mondays are date nights, but sometimes (I should say USUALLY) we just stay home and hang out together. But last night we went to McDonald's for a frappe (he got a shake). Then we went to see Shrek 4- kinda cute. But it was free! We had a pass for buy one get one, and the girl didn't know how to work the coupon, so she just gave us 2 free movies. Sweet deal! It was a fun date. And Jeff even reminded me that it could be our last date alone... without a child or without finding a babysitter.
On Sunday Jeff and I went to Jeff's parents' house for supper and to watch "Dear John." It was a very sad movie... and the surprise twist it took was not at all what I expected, nor did I like it. Hmph. Oh well. It was nice to watch a movie on Memorial Day weekend that helped us remember those that serve in the military.
My mom had a garage sale this past weekend. It was hot. And I'm a big baby when it comes to heat. Oh well. I think we did okay with the sale... but Jeff and I didn't even get all the stuff out of our basement for the sale! Crazy. We were supposed to have it on Monday too, but it was too rainy so we didn't keep it open very long. Later this summer (maybe fall- when it's cooler?) we'll try again.
The mama cat (outside) had kittens again. Yes. Again. She had 3 litters last summer. And she has one litter so far this year... ugh. Cute little kitties, but we really need to stop this madness! There are 4-5 kittens. I've only seen 4. Jeff claims he saw 5. So I don't know. But yeah- more kitty craziness.
If you quit feeding, they'll quit breeding. That's what I always say... since today.
