Adoption News... Getting Closer!

Our birth mother's visit with her doctor today went well. However, they will not be inducing labor tomorrow as planned/hoped. The baby has dropped and all the "signs" say she will naturally go into labor at any moment. The doctor would prefer that she just wait for it to happen naturally, and believes that they will see her at the hospital to deliver the baby within the next couple days.

I suppose things are up in the air now as to when it will happen. God is just teaching us to be patient, I suppose.

Our birth mother did ask that her case worker let us know the update. She seems to really want us up to date and aware of what is going on. The plan now is that when she does go into labor and go to the hospital, she will call her case worker and then we will be notified. Upon her request, we will go to the hospital to meet the baby boy. However, we are waiting for her to call the shots here- and just let us know when she wants us there.

Please keep praying for our birth mother, the baby, and both Jeff and me. We are so nervous and excited. I can't imagine how she is doing... I did ask how she feels about all of this and what her response was to the doctor's plans. I guess she's still excited and just wanted to be sure Jeff and I were updated. She isn't worried about making it to her graduation- I guess they're pretty sure she will. But please keep praying.
