Adoption Update

The meeting with our birth mother went really well. We were so nervous, as was she. She was very emotional, and almost right away said "I know most people think that you should be thanking me, but I just wanted to thank you so much for doing this for me."

She is a sweetheart. Some info on her: She is 18 yrs old, and she graduates from high school on June 10th. She has a scholarship to go to college for nursing. She loves to write, loves to read, and enjoys being silly and making people laugh. She LOVES McDonalds, and that was one of the selling points for her, when she read that I liked McDonalds. (tee hee)

Just be praying for her. This is a very huge decision for her. She is sad to let her baby go, but know that she cannot give him what she wants him to have. We realize that she could still change her mind, and we want to respect that and honor her decision no matter what. So pray for us as we sit on the sidelines for now and just wait.

She does not have an official appointment made to be induced, but it was discussed that it would be June 3rd. She is going to try really hard to make that happen, because she wants to walk for graduation. We just wait to hear details about that (probably not until June 2nd). So hang tight with us while we just wait.

Thank you for your prayers, well wishes, concern, excitement, and support. Don't stop yet!

  2. Still praying hard for you. You should take her to McDonald's as much as you can before and after the baby is born. God has wonderful plans for her, the baby and you guys! He's got it under control! I'll be praying for patience, I can't imagine what you and Jeff are going through! We love you guys!
