I've had a cough for several days and over the weekend it got a lot worse. I was able to start an antibiotic yesterday, but the medicine is making me sick.
I left Awana early last night.
I canceled my morning routine with Little M this morning.
I had to cancel my plans of taking my niece, Evie, to Gym&Swim today.
I also canceled the plans to watch Little M this evening.
I let our worship pastor know that I probably won't be at choir practice tonight (only 3 more rehearsals until the cantata!).
... and now I feel guilty... sick and guilty.
I let my kids down at Awana last night when I left early.
I am pretty sure I let Little M's mom down this morning and this afternoon/evening too. (She's not returning my phone calls which leaves an unsettled feeling for me.)
I let my sister down, who had hoped to get things done at home.
I let my dad down, who had not planned to watch my nieces since my sister would be home.
And I let our worship pastor down, because he is stressing out about getting in these last few rehearsals and having everybody there for them.
As if feeling sick wasn't bad enough... I feel guilty on top of it.

ReplyDeleteAlright, sister-girl-honey-child...
ReplyDeleteFact: People get sick.
Fact: Guilt is not from God.
Fact: Sickness does not = Offense. Being mean = offense
Opinion: You should rest.
Idea: Practice the Cantata from home tonight! Or at least listen to it?
I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. Don't waste your precious healing time with feeling guilty for something that isn't your fault. :)
PS I had to delete this originally because I forgot to press "Enter" before a new fact.)
I'm sure that noone felt let down by you. I'm sure they were concerned for your health and just want you to feel better! Life happens! Praying for you!
