Dear God...

Thank you for this day; thank that Sarah had a good day and that she's feeling well; thank you for the food that we have, and all the many other blessings; and thank you that I got promoted at work today. Amen.

YEP! You read that correctly!

This is the pre-supper prayer that Jeffrey said last night. He cleverly snuck that "thank you that I got promoted at work today" part in, huh? I looked up from praying, and stared at him. "You did?" "Seriously?" "For real?" "You really did?" He just grinned at me. Tears welled up in my eyes. He's been working at this for so long... we've been praying for it for a long time now too. God's timing is perfect, and all along He's been saying "just wait for Me."

Life has been looking kinda gloomy for me... but with Jeff's job promotion, our adoption process underway, and our vacation coming up... I can smile and say "God is good."
