Do you remember a few months back, I was doing a pretty good job of keeping up with my "Not Me Mondays." I would post about all the things I did that week that I for sure would never have done. (When of course, we all know the truth, right?)
I wanted to start doing it again. I got the idea from MckMama's blog (it's over there to the right... the blog about Stellan). And I would love join her in her "Not Me Monday" game... but I cannot quite figure it out at this point. Maybe next week?
So... for my not-mes. (Oh- and let me remind you- I had surgery June 1st. My memory is not the greatest (since being on pain meds), so I might be combining a couple weeks... which, is okay. It makes things easier and funnier.)
* We did not just finish dishes from before my surgery. We are very clean people and very organized. Those dishes were done immediately after being dirtied.
* I have not spent HOURS playing Sims while I'm trying to recover... normal people do things like read books or watch movies. Me? Of course I'm normal...
* I did not get all excited to find out that baby kittens were born in my backyard. And I did not proceed to feed them, then convince my husband to buy them their own cat food. (When which, I did not continue to feed them.)
* We have not had fast food at least 5 times in the past 2 weeks. We enjoy home cooked meals... so much so that we went out of our way to make them ahead of time, so that while I recovered, we could just pull one out of the freezer and bake it. Mmhmm...
* I did not suggest to my husband that for our 3 year anniversary we go to Florida. And then, if he had decided he liked my idea, I did not then change my mind and refuse to go.
* I did not have to chase our baby cat, Bailey, and try to get her to come back into the house. She did not hide under the neighbor's car, and then start running for their backyard. I did not then run in the house to get treats and canned food... to not trick her into coming back into the house. She loves us and would never run away from us.
* I did not walk around without pants on almost all week. The pain is not that bad, and I am modest enough to know better than to do that. So, when somebody would call to tell me they were coming by, I would not say "Call first, so I can put pants on."
* I have not watched "Desperate Housewives." (Anybody with any kind of morals knows better than to do that.)
What about you? What have you not done today? :)
hahahaha!
ReplyDeletei'm glad someone else walks around w/o pants. the whole last week or two before baby comes is always that way for me!
(oh, and I am NOT trying to convince James that he doesn't want me to pay more attention to him than the computer. and I am NOT avoiding doing the dishes. and I so make my bed every morning!)
