Seeds and Fluid

I've been hoping to plant seeds, and wanted to wait for Little M, so that it an experience for her. I bought some potting soil and some vegetable seeds, and I had bulbs from my niece's birthday party last fall. So, I took advantage of Sunday afternoon and Little M and I set out to work, planting. She was in love with the dirt... and enjoyed throwing it around as well as sifting her fingers through it as if it were sand.

Update on my health situation:

I had an appointment with the local GI doctor. He believes that the fluid probably has been there for awhile, and that it's from heart failure... which, technically, I've experienced at different points in my life. He said that because my heart is not functioning 100% (like a "normal" heart), my body probably senses that and is retaining the fluid. He said that more than likely it will never go away, and there is really nothing to do about it besides taking lasix (which I have- my cardiologist increased this because of the fluid). He said even if he took a needle and extracted the fluid today, it'd all be back tomorrow. Oh, and ps: he said there is about 2 liters of fluid in there!!! So... umm... okay. The only other thing he can think of is blood clots in my spleen. We will schedule an ultrasound to determine if there are any. If so, there's not much we can do about it- but at least we know the reason. If not- it's probably the first thought- about my not-so-100% heart function.

I guess I'm relieved to know it's going to be okay... but at the same time, I'd rather not live with this. The fluid is not comfortable. And it's not very attractive either (at least the questions/comments about me being pregnant have stopped... for now).
