Well, tonight I was singing the song from Grease... "Summer Lovin'." Then I remembered awhile back when that song was playing in the car, and Jeff decided to sing along. This was his version of the song: "Summer lovin' happiest friends..." Instead of "Summer lovin' happened so fast."
Another good Jeffism as far as songs go... the song (that Billy Joel does not sing) "Doo Wa Ditty" was on the radio one day. He was singing along at the top of his lungs, and then he stops and looks at me and says "If she's his, why is he hurt?" He was singing "I'm hurt, she's mine, wedding bells are gonna chime."
Instead of "I'm her's, she's mine..."
One more... just for good laughs. Jeff HATES that I tease him about this... so don't say a word! Some of you might know the song "Gonna Make you Sweat." It was a huge hit in the 90s. I loved it. Anyway... it was on the radio one day (we listen the radio a lot!) and Jeff was (again) singing along. He started singing "I'm just a squirrel trying to get a nut beneath your butt." I laughed SO hard... I asked him what he was singing... and he got embarrassed and insisted those were the words. I told him they were not, and he did not believe me until we got home and I looked them up online and proved it to him. The REAL words are "It's your world and I'm just a squirrel trying to get a nut to move your butt to the dance floor."
Oh my! I still love that silly man... even if he sings the wrong words.
Doo-Wa-Diddy is not a Billy Joel song. It was recorded back in the 60's by an English group called Manfred Mann.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah! Thanks! (I'm pretty sure that was my dad... he's so smart.)
