Paperwork

Last week I mentioned that we got our adoption application and paperwork in the mail. I put it off to the side and every now and then I look at it and try to do a little bit more of it. Well, on Monday we got another packet... this time it's the paper work for foster care. And if I had thought that the adoption paper work was horrible, I didn't know what I had comin'! Good grief! I don't know where to start, or where to end, or what to do. I was picking through some of it last night and finally said to Jeff "This is seriously going to take me forever to finish. There are people that just up and have babies, even if they're not fit to... and then there are people like us who want babies (or even to foster children in need), and have to tell their whole life story, get all this medical and background check, and have people creep into their homes and lives..." Please do not think that I would not go to such great lengths to help children or to have one of my own. But it does make me sad. Who knows when or if we'll ever get our stuff in. I'll keep you posted...
