Well, I babysat M again tonight. When we got home from her school, she told me her tummy was hurting. I asked if she was hungry, and she said she was. I told her I was too, and that we'd be eating soon. We sat down at the table (and even had Molly come for dinner!), and M didn't eat a whole lot. I thought it was a little strange. I had to get going to church for orchestra rehearsal and for praise team practice. The plan was that M would go in the nursery during orchestra and sit in the sanctuary during praise team (until her mom picked up). Well, we hardly started orchestra, and the babysitters came out to tell me that M had thrown up. So... home we went. I got M inside and started to set her up on the couch, and before I could even get a bucket, she started to throw up pretty much all over everything. Poor girl! She was covered in it. I told her it was no big deal, I took her clothes off and carried her into the bathroom to take a bath. She laughed about it and had a fun time splashing around with my fancy bubble bath. She had no more clothes to change into (she had gone thru both sets), so I put her in one of my t-shirts. She was so proud. Then I braided her hair (I had to wash that too... you know how it is, Girls, when you throw up and your hair gets in the mess too). She was so happy. Her mom came as fast as she could and took little M home. We'll see how things go now...
Fortunately, our couch cushions have zippered covers! Hooray! I took the covers off and they're in the wash right now. The sheet she threw up in and her clothes are all in the drier now. Woohoo! We're on a roll here!
Then, I was on Facebook and noticed my brother in law, Colin, was online. So I opened up a chat with him. He told me he was so sad because they did a lab today that involved doing surgery (removing reproductive organs) on rats. After that, they basically killed them by putting them in ether tanks... I guess then they'll disect them. Sounds dumb to me. But anyway; Colin was sad about that... and it was so funny to me that he was so disturbed. I asked him if the rat was gross or if it was cute. He told me it was cute. I guess that would make things sad, huh?
I meant to post this last night. Abby, the cute little Cubbie that I spoke about in a prior post, told me something funny again last night. She gave me a cute valentine card with Abby Cadabby on it. (I call her that sometimes.) I told her I loved the Valentine and I will always keep it close to my heart. And then she told me she wouldn't be at Cubbies next week. I told her that was okay... I would miss her, but I will hold onto the Valentine and think about her and she will always be in my heart. She looked at me and said "I can't be in your heart... I'm going to be in California."
