Calling All Home Decorators!

Okay, I posted the look of our baby/child's room bedding and such. I was going to go with a light yellow paint. We need to save as much money as possible, so I was hoping to stop in at the ReStore tomorrow to see if they had any cans of paint we could use. I was down in the basement doing a few things tonight when I noticed the colors of paint we have stored down there (from the previous owners). We have an almost full can of yellow... a brighter yellow than I hoped for. And an almost empty can of a bright green... both colors would look GREAT in the room. It is a really small room (some/most of you have seen it)... is it appropriate to paint 3 walls yellow and 1 wall green? Is that too weird for a small room? Please give me your feedback.

Also- I wanted to post some playroom pix. It's about time, huh? Well, now that Evie and Eloise have helped me paint, we're good to go!

We have the lovely basket shelves for toys, the game shelf, the small lap games, and the two bins for books. Then there's a bin of baby dolls and baby doll things.

The kitchen sets I got on Freecycle, the table I got on Freecycle, the rocking dog, Sesame Street kitchen, and basketball hoop I got from Jessica.

The area rug that I got from Molly. The strollers from Freecycle. The hanging thingy from Mom. The bouncy Kangaroo was from Freecycle....

And yes... Evie and Eloise painted the walls.

  1. That's the kitchen in the Toddler Church room (same style, different colors). Mom's is different...

The whole thing is really cute!

Oh, and as far as the child's room walls go, I think you could do three yellow and one green. However, the green wall MIGHT reflect off the yellow walls and make them look greenish. Check out the Sunday school room downstairs at church that has three yellow and one teal to see what I mean. It's not bad, though, and it could look different with different lighting.
