On Saturday morning Jeff and I became proud parents... AGAIN. She's a 5 week old kitten. We named her Bailey... after Bailey's Harbor in Door County Wisconsin... where we went on our honeymoon. She is the cutest little thing... so fun and happy! We got her from a lady who had 7 stray cats outside her condo... the one was the mama... who had 6 kittens. I was able to go over there and rescue one of the babies and bring her home with me.
Bailey came home with fleas... as we assummed she would. We bathed her in warm water with ivory dish soap, which we read help rid fleas for young kittens. I think it's helping!
Sydney knows that Bailey's in the bathroom... he can hear her crying. They haven't officially met yet... but they will when Bailey's fleas are gone. And poor Sydney has to wear a flea collar to prevent catching fleas himself.
I take Bailey to the doctor today, so hopefully we'll have some relief from fleas and other pests... and schedule her spaying day and her declawing day.
I REALLY wish I could put pictures up... and I'm sad it won't work. I will get some up soon... of Sydney's baby sister AND of the house.
