Diet Update

So, starting last Monday (like, just a couple days ago) I am back to my strict(er) low sodium diet. I am also attempting to cut back on my sugar intake... including pop. It's super hard, people. I love food! And I love Coke and Dr. Pepper. I cannot handle this stress of omitting those from my diet. It seems like everything I want to eat contains too much sodium for me.

I made Chicken Paprikash for supper tonight. One word: Gross. It lacked majorly in the sodium department (after all, it did come from a low sodium cookbook). It almost made me want to gag. Jeff didn't love his, but he was able to at least like it because he poured salt over top of it.

I don't know what to do... I need the diet to help keep my fluid down. But if I have to eat like this much longer, I might die. Somebody sneak me some of Olive Garden's bread sticks and soup!!!

  1. Girl, fall in love with Mrs. Dash no salt seasoning blends. They totally got my whole family through our ridiculous no-sodium-at-all years with my dad.

  2. Have you ever tried a salt substitute? It's Potassium Chloride instead of Sodium Chloride (salt), and you'd have to okay it with you dr, but it's really not so yucky! I like it fine.

    Just an idea...
