Halloween

"Halloween should be a day where we honor monsters and not be mad at each other!"
-Michael Scott (The Office)
As you already know from previous years and previous posts, I don't celebrate Halloween. And yes, I am one of those people that hand out tracts with my candy to any trick or treaters that come to my door.
Unfortunately, we live at the end of the block, where businesses are and houses are fewer. So we don't really get a lot of trick or treaters. I got 3 yesterday... before I had to leave for church in the evening. The first one was a cute little guy with his grandpa. The second one was a teenager or young adult (dressed as a prostitute or something like that)... and the third one was with that girl- a baby in a stroller that was not even a year old (can you say "I just want more candy?"). Oh my.
Anyway; we have tons of candy left over. Uncool.
Last night Jeff took me out for dinner at Village Squire. There was a monster there- of course it was just a man in costume. But he didn't really talk- he just growled at everybody. It kinda freaked me out. But he left us alone. Another couple walked in (in costume) and got attention from the monster. They growled back at him. Then a little while later I overheard the waitress tell the couple that the monster wanted to pay for their bill. Hmph. If only I celebrated Halloween. lol. (At least it was a nice monster!)
