On Thursday, I had Little M over and we invited my nieces to come over too- to make things more fun. It ended up turning into a very fun (and funny!) Girls Night.
We ate spaghetti for supper.
Then we all walked down the street to the library. The big girls checked out two DVDs that they wanted to watch. We then went to the play area in the library and all the kiddos played nicely, shared, and had fun.
Before it got dark, we headed back to my house. All four girls did a great job holding hands and sticking together.
Once at home, I popped some popcorn in our air popper (I love that thing!!!)... poured margarine and cheese seasoning all over it. They LOVED it. (1 Huge bowl of popcorn+ 4 little girls= 0 popcorn left.)
They munched on popcorn while watching the Berenstain Bears. During the "Messy Room" episode, we came across a little problem...
Mama Bear was upset that the house was messy and especially that the cubs' room was so messy. She gave them 15 minutes to clean up their room. The cubs ended up hiding everything in their bedroom closet. Their room looked wonderful, but when Mama went to open the closet, all the toys fell out. Needless to say, Mama got really upset and left the room. She returned with a big box on which she had written "trash." She then began tossing all the toys into the box.
Eloise, my 4 year old niece, jumps up, shaking her hands- face bright red- and shouts "BUT YOU JUST CAN'T DO THAT!" She then burst into tears.
Eloise is very sensitive when it comes to movies, shows, or pretty much anything. I think she just has a very compassionate heart... so it will come to her advantage (and others'!) down the road. :)
I asked her to stop crying and tell me why she was upset.
"Is it because Mama Bear is mad?"
"No."
"Is it because the cubs got in trouble?"
"No."
"Is it because she's throwing their toys in the garbage?"
"Yes! That's being so wasteful!" She replied, still in tears.
I calmed her down and reminded her it is just a movie and that the cubs will learn a lesson from this... a few minutes later, Mama taught them the lesson, they got their toys back, and Eloise was fine.
Girl... My computer doesn't convert these colors well, so I can't read it. Wah-wah-wah... Can you change it to a different contrasting color for MY sake? :D
