Most of you already know this from Facebook or something... but our birth mom changed her mind. The baby was born Monday morning... and on Tuesday morning we got word that she wanted to try to parent him on her own.
I respect that. In fact, sometimes I wonder if babies are better off with their birth mommas. I know she is a good mom... and I know she loves him very much. I wish her the best.
I feel like I've let my entire family, friends, and social network down... everybody was so excited for this, and now it's not happening.
Jeff and I went on a small vacation to get away from this and to mourn (which I didn't seem to do a lot of...). I have an amazing story to tell you about that, but stay tuned. I will share that with you another time.
