Jeff and I were chosen by a birthmother yesterday (Monday). We agreed to meet with her next week. If all goes well, we will have our little one on June 3rd- when the birthmother is induced.
Please pray for this very brave woman. She has a lot on her plate right now (on top of delivering a baby in 3 weeks!). Pray for her strength and wisdom. And, if it be God's will, that she does not back out of the adoption.
Pray for the precious baby boy she is due to deliver soon... for his health and for a safe delivery.
And please also pray for Jeff and me as we anticipate being parents, while we also guard our hearts in case she changes her mind.
HOOOOOOOOORAY!!!!I just read the prayer request, and I'm in tears! Gril, we're praying hard for the birthmom, little boy, as well as you. God is great! And I know He has this in His hands. I'm so excited for you guys! We'll be praying extra hard! :)

praying that you will get God's strenth...this is a hard time for all involved...I can't imagine being in either the birth mother or your shoes. I can completely why you would want to guard your heart...I can't wait to hear that you have brought him home and he is yours and of course all the little details about him that make him--him. You two will be wonderful parents. It is so wonderful to hold the baby that you have prayed for...holding a prayer.

You guard your heart, but mine is already planning that little family picture of THREE! (and I just gave away the last of my baby clothes. sorry!)
