Isaiah 12

I have been sort of angry at God lately.  I don't know that I really outwardly admitted it until I realized it this weekend.  I have no right to be angry at God.  None.  And even though I realized and even admitted that, I still felt strange.  I felt like I couldn't talk to Him and that He was angry at me for the way I was behaving and the way I felt.  The next portion of the Bible that I was supposed to read today (in my reading through the Bible adventure) was Isaiah 12-17.  Starting with 12 made me cry... it was as if I had written it!  Praise God for moments like that.  And now, I want to share with you what Isaiah 12 says:

Isaiah 12

1 Then you will say on that day,
"I will give thanks to You, O LORD;
For although You were angry with me,
Your anger is turned away,
And You comfort me.

2 "Behold, God is my salvation,
I will trust and not be afraid;
For the LORD GOD is my strength and song,
And He has become my salvation."

3 Therefore you will joyously draw water
From the springs of salvation.

4 And in that day you will say,
"Give thanks to the LORD, call on His name
Make known His deeds among the peoples;
Make them remember that His name is exalted."

5 Praise the LORD in song, for He has done excellent things;
Let this be known throughout the earth.

6 Cry aloud and shout for joy, O inhabitant of Zion,
For great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel

  1. Great post. I love the very last line... "For great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel." IN OUR MIDST!
