Catch Up

Good news! Jeff and I have a home study meeting tonight. And then our case worker is coming out to our house on Saturday to licence us for DCFS. She says that we might only need to meet once more after Saturday- if at all! Hooray! It's going so quickly!!!

I asked her about "what's next" and she told me we need to finish our classes (we have to take some online classes, which we can do together any time at home), as well as make our portfolio. I guess I'm a little excited and a little nervous to make the portfolio. It's sort of like a scrap book, but it will include a letter to our birth mother. That's the part that makes me nervous. Or maybe the entire thing makes me nervous. I don't know. It's just so intimidating to know that this book is what they will show to birth parents! YIKES!

I have a bunch of things on my "to do" list this week before she comes to our home. Nothing is too major... just little things here and there.

I'm on a roll with my Christmas stuff! I have my Christmas cards addressed and stamped. I just need to get them signed, stuffed, sealed, and sent! All our Christmas decorations are up. And I've got most of our gifts made/bought. We have a few things left to get, but it's not too bad. Who knows? I might start baking next week!!!
