It's Friday, and this isn't what I thought I'd feel like on Friday. I imagined I'd be back to normal, just with a few lifting restrictions.
I am still really sleepy, achy, and still swollen. However, I do admit/announce that it is getting better... the swelling seems to be going down, the aches and pains are bearable, and of course I can nap pretty much whenever I want to.
I am sparing you a photo. I am bruising as swelling goes down- so you imagine what it might look like.
I am back to taking all my "normal" meds... you know, those for my heart. And I lost one. :( I am on baby aspirin, and cannot find the new bottle of it. There was a new bottle, wasn't there? I'm not totally going crazy, am I?
The diuretic is a joke. Before surgery, it hardly made any difference at all... even though I was taking it two times a day. Now, after surgery, I only need to take it once, and it works, like, triple time or something! Whew! I took it twice yesterday, and the second time wasn't such a big deal. We'll see how it goes today.
I got a pill stuck in my throat night before last. I woke up with that yucky feeling. Blah... not fun. So I tried to throw it up or whatever and it wouldn't come. I ate baby food and ice cream, and it still felt like it was in there. The next morning, I told Mom and she told me that my throat is all beat up from having the pill in there, and that it's more than likely NOT in there anymore. But it still hurts. Sad...
I guess that's all the news I have for you. I'm trying, really trying, to be back to 100% again soon. I miss normal life.
Ok, first of all, "and better than ever" should NOT have a question mark after it. It should read, "and better than EVER!!!" 'cause you are.
ReplyDeleteSecond of all, I haven't checked in for a while and, man, I mean, Girl, holy cow! I'm so sorry you had to endure yet ANOTHER surgery! Glad to hear you're recovering (they will let you eat ice cream, right? did you remind them that's the best med?), and hope it all gets better faster.
