Praise God!

Last night I was sick. I haven't really felt that stomach tightening and churning since I was working... so I blame it on stress. And yes, this weekend has been very stressful.

I still feel stressed out in my head and in my heart... but I know God is working all things for His good. And I praise Him that things are looking better. I just don't know what will happen, and that's where I need to hold onto my faith.

I wanted to tell you about some great things happening in my "preparing for foster care" life. The room is finished... it's all yellow (pictures to come soon!). I am getting some great things off of Freecycle and from friends and family. I picked up an excesaucer, swing, bouncy seat (I already have one, so we'll see...), clothes, shoes, toys, a ride on toy, sippy cups, and much more today. A friend from church (she's also much like a sister) gave us a booster seat with a tray, so we will use that as a high chair. I picked up an antique, wooden night stand last night and I'm working on painting it from a golden yellow to the same yellow of our walls. I am just realizing how blessed we are to have people all around us helping us out. I am enjoying see God put pieces together for us, so we don't have to spend extra money. What a blessing!

I have another excesaucer in the garage that I will use in the basement. I also have a toy box in the garage that my dad and I will fix up and paint (I got it out of somebody's garbage during spring clean up week!). I have a stroller in REALLY good shape that we'll use. It's just never ending!

So that's my excitement for today. Praise God!

  1. finally caught up with you again, and wow! i just love reading your blog. so glad to hear things have been working out with prep for your kiddos to come. you will be the best parents! things will work out for your grandpa, too. the Lord knows what's best, and will help it to happen, even though we try to do our own things most of the time.
