A Busy Day

I wanted to share the high lights of my day with you:

First of all, I babysit for my friend, Sarah's, two younger children. I have them 1-2 times a week. Her daughter (who is only 1) usually has a hard time with it... she cries a lot and doesn't really play or anything. Well, that was until this week. She has been playing, talking, singing, laughing, and NOT CRYING much at all! It has been a huge difference and I'm having fun getting to know the real little girl inside! She's a sweet heart.

I got some painting done today in the spare room- the room we will be using for our foster children and/or adopted children. We're painting it yellow, and I got it almost all done, except for the "up high" parts, which hopefully my daddy will help me with tomorrow.
The cats are so nosey and like to snoop around while I'm in there working. When I was priming last week, Bailey turned into a speckled kitty. Tonight, Bailey's nose was yellow. Ugh... I was so frustrated with her.
Little M and I went for a walk today when we got home from school (day care). I figured we'd walk the block or something... but she kept right on truckin'. She was pushing a doll stroller with a baby doll in it. It was great fun. We ended up walking from my back door to my sister, Jessica's, back door... and inside! Little M was given a cup of water before we headed back home. And yes- she made it back home as well... round trip was just about 2 miles!
At home, I made cheese filled chicken brats, steak fries, and corn on the cob. Little M loved the food, and while she was eating she sang this song (to the tune of "The Farmer In the Dell"): "I made a mess, I made a mess, Hi-ho the dairy-o, I'm happy I made a mess."

The part of my day that was not so much of a high light was when I showed up to Jessica's house... I could tell she had been crying. I asked what was wrong and she proceeded to tell me that Grandma is planning to move Grandpa to Minnesota and put him in a home there. I don't have all the details, because we have really been spared most of them. But my family (my Illinois family) is devastated by this. I ask that you please pray for us. My grandpa will not do well in home. He will fade quickly, and we hate to put him in one this early on. My mom has been more than willing to let him move in with her... and we're all for that. For some reason my grandma is being selfish about it. I don't understand. And I don't understand why God wants us to deal with this. But I know that He will take care of us. Please pray for us. Pray for my grandpa's well being, mostly.
