A Big Home Improvement No-No

My family is super smart about how to do things "the right way" when it comes to, well, pretty much everything. I remember when my sister and her husband bought their first house and we all were over there helping her strip wall paper off her bedroom walls. It was such a project and kind of a nightmare, if I remember correctly. I hate wall paper. We were fortunate enough to move into a home that had hardly any wall paper. The only wall paper we have is in the spare bedroom closet. Let me give you an idea of what that wall paper looks like:

So, if you're in my family or if you're super particular, you might want to close your eyes for what I'm about to tell you...

I started to try to peel off the wall paper and it really was stuck on there pretty well... from like ages ago. I went online to one of my FAVORITE sites: ehow.com. They told me to use fabric softner and water in a spray bottle to make a solution that will help strip wall paper. They also told me that it will be a LONG and frustrating process if the paper is really stuck on there. Then they suggested that if that were the case, it'd be best to just paint over it if possible.

Ummmmmm... I went that route. Is that a sin? I am thinkin' it's a home improvement no-no. I am priming the wall paper.

Well, so be it, I guess...

Last night, when Jeff came home he found me amongst a mess... I had been pulling stuff out of the closet and bedroom so I could starting priming. In the "mess" he also found his bass guitar. I miss his playing.
