The Rugh Girls
Since I've been laying around, dealing with the flu, I've watched a couple movies. One was Pride and Predudice, and I really liked it! =) The other was Little Women. I know when we were little, all my sisters liked that movie, but since it was "olden days" I couldn't really get into it or like it much... so I never really watched it. But I loved it!
I remember one of my sisters (I think it was Katie) would say that each girl in the movie was each of us (4 Rugh girls and 4 March girls.) Meg was Jessica, because they're the oldests. Jo was Katie, Beth was Sarah, and Amy was Molly. At that age, I thought it was funny that somebody thought we had to be matched up like that, because it was just a movie. But when I watched it last night, I realized that without any of us girls really knowing it, we sort of did take roles as those girls did! (But Beth dies in the movie, and I didn't die.) It's not exact or anything... lots of differences. But I could see similarities in each "match."
It made me miss being little, too... they were so funny when they all lived at home. They acted out silly things and giggled and played together. The one scene where Meg and Jo have Lawry pulling them in the sled made me laugh... the girls are both teens and Lawry was really struggling to pull them. And the girls are shouting "Faster! Faster!" It reminded me of something Molly and I would've done to one of our guy friends in high school. Ha ha ha.
I miss the good ol' days of being younger and silly. But I'm just glad we have the memories. (And I'm also glad I didn't die... like Beth did.)
