Happy New Year!

Well, 2008 is gone and 2009 is here. I guess it happened too quickly, I didn't even write anything in my blog!
I've never been one to make resolutions for the new year. I think it's sort of silly because a new year doesn't have to be the only time to "start again" or "try again." I do that all year! Ha ha ha. I guess, though, with our life circumstances right now, though, that this is sort of like making resolutions.

1) I want to be a better wife, and grow to be a godly one.
2) I want to be a better attribute to my family- helping with my grandparents and nieces as much as I can.
3) I want to grow closer to God and spend more time in His word and more time praying.
4) I want to keep up with our house.

That's enough, right?

I met with a friend yesterday and she talked to me about adoption/foster care. She used to work for DCFS and she has a friend that still does. So they gave me some numbers and some contact people to call. I didn't get a chance to yesterday (I was too busy!), so I hope to next week. I'm going to ask for information and then Jeff and I can weigh out our possibilities and then dive (or tip toe) forward. We will for sure keep you posted on that process.

Okay- gotta take Jeff to work (we're down to one car still!).
