Check out this crazy blister!!!
Okay... here's the thing...
Three years ago, I slipped on ice and fell under my car, hitting my left shin on the car. I got a contusion to the tissues in my leg, which I'm told is worse than a break or a fracture. Basically, it smashes all the tissues under the skin and distorts them... and mine will NEVER be the same again. =) FUN! For those of you that have seen me, you have seen the dark mark on my leg... kinda like a bruise or a birth mark. It will never go away... that's just life. =)
So... whenever I have an injury on that leg, in that area, it totally is like 1,000 times worse than if I had one on the other leg. All I did was brush past a box (the flaps were all open) and scraped my leg on it. It hurt REALLY bad, so I sat down and rubbed it a little bit... it didn't bleed or anything, so I assumed I was fine. But that night, it was still kinda throbbing, so I went to rub it again, and it was a huge blister... and it just keeps getting bigger and more and more purple in color! FUN!!!! =)
So, I went to the doctor... he laughed... he has never seen anything like this. He said "Go home, I'll think about it... and come back in a week... if it gets worse, call me... otherwise, wait for it to either pop on it's own, or just to deflate on it's own." So... that's what I'm doing! =) I guess I bewildered the poor guy, and now he has to do some thinking and do some research and stuff... ha! I always DID think that Natalie Merchant song ("Wonder") was about me... now I KNOW it is. =)
So there you have it... I just wanted to show off my fancy leg... and make ya'll jealous that you can't be as attractive as I am... sorry about that. ;o)
