There was an informational meeting held at Moody Bible Institute last night for students that are enrolling there. Jeffrey is working on his application (and his essays that go along with it) for Moody, so hopefully he'll be accepted into the Masters of Divinity program there.
Traffic was horrible at 5:30pm, as we headed into Chicago. The meeting started at 6:30 and the more important part (that we didn't want to miss at all) started at 7pm. We got to the meeting around 7:20pm. Oh well! We still had about 40 minutes of meeting, which was still helpful.
On our way out of the building, we ran into a college student from our church! What are the odds? The only person (that I know of) that I know at MIB is this guy, and we saw him there. Too funny.
After talking to him a little bit, we exited the building. I noticed a girl (college student) looking under a car in a nearby parking lot. Jeffrey and I walked over to see if everything was okay. She was trying to capture a kitten who was hiding under the cars, yet meowing like crazy. Jeffrey and I got down to help her catch the kitty. That little guy (girl?) was quick! We were unable to catch him. Campus security pulled up and wanted to know what was going on. We told them about the kitty and they laughed at us... suggesting we just leave it for now. I got a huge kick out of it, but I think Jeffrey was a little nervous that we got in "trouble" and we hadn't even been on campus for 2 hours! lol.
Anyway... please be praying for Jeffrey (and me!) while we take this leap of faith and he goes back to school. Specific prayer requests: That he is able to keep his full time job and juggle classes on top of it, that we can financially afford this (that maybe scholarships come up and/or other possible financial assistance), and that I support him and back him up (not acting needy or selfish).
That's great that Jeff is going back to school!! I can't imagine juggling a full-time job and school. I will keep you guys in my prayers!
