Good Things Come to Those That Wait (I Hope!)

Our birth mother had a check up today and the doctor said she is no further along than she was last week. (I kind of don't understand that, since last week she was told it would be any moment... but whatever...)

She has scheduled another appointment for next Wednesday. If she doesn't go into labor before then, she will be induced the following day- June 17th. That would be fine with me, since it's my brother, Tory's birthday. :)

Anyway- she IS walking in her graduation tomorrow. We are so excited for her and proud of her. Pray that she is comfortable during the ceremony and that she can enjoy it and soak it all in.

This weekend she is celebrating her oldest daughter's birthday in combination with another relative's birthday. In their family, birthdays and celebrations are a huge deal... so she really wanted to have the baby before the weekend so she could enjoy the party. It doesn't look like that's going to happen (however, we do realize God can do anything!), so please pray that she can still enjoy the weekend even if she is still pregnant.

Every day is a moment closer to his birth and to our family growing. Sometimes it's hard to wait, but I am just so grateful that she chose us and that we (Lord willing!) will soon be parents.

Please continue to pray for our birth mother, for the baby, and for Jeff and myself. We are tired, anxious, excited, and nervous.
