I got this in an email today, from our adoption coordinator:

{Birth mother's} worker, Julie, wanted me to tell you that she (birth mother) is really excited to meet you. She feels really "hopeful and relieved about this decision". Ultimately, she selected you because she believes that her son will be "more special" to you than any other family she saw. She also loved that you guys came from a big family with lots of contact. Once again, she continues to go back to the fact that he (her son) will be such a precious gift to you.


It made my day.


Our meeting with her was canceled, though, because she's helping her sister out (who also just had a baby!). We'll be meeting with her next week on Wednesday instead of this week.
