Since we moved all our furniture around for this painting project, it was brought to my attention just how much (or how little) I clean. I don't mean pick up, vacuum, and sweep. No... what about catching all the cobwebs and dust bunnies? Gross.
Well, I'm done painting the living room and dining room. It's pretty. I mean- the color and the finished product is pretty. But I'm not good at painting, so it's not really perfect. Oh well. I have already told Darryl he's not allowed to come over anymore. (He told me last night that being an architect, he's really observant...) Just teasing, we'll have him over again. He'll just have to wear a blind fold.
So yeah... today is cleaning day... aka Scrubbing Day. Do you remember Pippi Longstocking and her scrubbing day? I wish I could make it that fun. For some reason this is a lot more boring than cleaning with Pippi.
Sadly- I know all the lines to that movie. And I am not the only Rugh girl that does. A-hem.
Anyway; I'd better go clean up some more. Enjoy your day! Oh! And watch out for a splunk!
"What are we going to do today, Sarah?"
ReplyDelete"Buy a piano."
"But they don't sell pianos in there!"
"They might today!"
"Do you even know how to PLAY a piano?"
"To play a piano without a piano would take a lot of practice, if you ask me!"
:D
The first Noel the angel did say...

ReplyDeletecorrection, molly...
ReplyDelete"what are we going to buy today [pippi]?
"a GRAND piano!"
not "buy a piano." lol get it right. ;)
you have been bumped to the bottom three of my favorite sisters. sorry, girl, but pewter's just no good.
I started cleaning my livingroom window today and ended up seeing that "this" thing over here needed to be dusted...which led me to something else that needed to be dusted and the only room that I ended up cleaning today was the livingroom b/c i realized how dusty it had gotten!!! So i now have a dirty bathroom, beds that need to be made, toys that should be picked up, laundry to be washed, dryed, and folded...but i finally got my livingroom dusted. So if someone walked in today they would see a house of mess...but hey my livingroom is dusted (like they would care...haha.)

ReplyDeleteShouldn't there be some good Glue Man quotes? Was it Gregory the Glue Man?
ReplyDelete"It's real gold!" (Shakes his head.) "I don't want your money."
ReplyDeleteI won't try to come up with a quote for you, Sarah, but I will say, did you know that Jess and I actually tried the scrub brush thing one time in the kitchen?!? It wasn't till AFTER we crushed the poor brushes under our feet that we noticed the wheels under their brushes! Yikes! Isn't that just one of the fun parts about having scrappy ("crappy")sisters? Someone's always willing to try something weird. ...Love you all!
