Sydney's Sick

At about 4 o'clock this morning, I woke up to the sound of Sydney throwing up.  This isn't really too unusual, since he makes himself do it sometimes, just for attention.  I got up, cleaned it up, and went back to bed.  I heard him doing it again and I woke Jeff up.  "Something is wrong with Sydney... he keeps throwing up."  We both got out of bed and sure enough- Sydney threw up several more times. 

I reached out to pet him, and normally he'd be a little jumpy or even snap at me.  But he didn't.  He plopped down in front of me.  I rolled him over and he didn't put up a fight.  I rubbed his belly (something he usually hates) and he just laid there.  Something was certainly wrong. 

I rushed him to the 24 hour emergency vet.  They did tests on him and saw in an x-ray that his lungs don't look good and he also had a very full bladder.  We went home with an antibiotic, an anti-nausea medicine, and special food for him.  I've been able to get 2 squirts of the medicine down thus far.  And he loves the food.  But he hasn't gone to the bathroom at all since we got home.  The doctor said if he doesn't go within 5-10 hrs of being home, to bring him back in... It's been about 6 hours. 

He's uncomfortable, I can tell.  He tries to sleep, but keep readjusting himself.  I think if he doesn't go to the bathroom by 3pm, I'm calling the doctor.

Poor little (not so little) guy.  :(
