Okay. My playlist this time started with romantic love songs by Billy Joel. Then I added a couple more lovey dovey songs that I really like. But then, I just couldn't resist it! I added "Forever" by Chris Brown (who, by the way, I do not listen to in real life). I know this song because of this video:

(Totally neat, huh? I wish I would've thought of doing that. The song is even kinda cute too... love it.)
Oh! And have you seen this video?

Anyway; then the other day I was riding in my car with the radio (again, usually I just listen to CDs or Christian music... but not this particular time...) and another song came on that I like... "Boogie Shoes." Okay. You might be wondering why I like that song.
First of all, if that song is not groovy enough for you, you'd better check your groove-o-meter. It's groovy. But not only that... one day I was standing in the Goodwill check out line, waiting for my mom to (finally? eventually?) join me. And there was an older woman ahead of me... I'd guess she was in her 70s. Sweet little lady with a very cute fourth of July outfit on. Anyway; "Boogie Shoes" started playing in the store, and I kid you not, people... this little lady in front of me was DANCING! Yes! She was dancing in the line! It was more than adorable. It was a little bit funny, as I tried not to laugh. But when my mom came back to the line, the song had stopped and so had the dancing. I had nobody to share my adorable moment with.
But anyway; when this song was on the radio the other day, it totally brought me back to Goodwill and the little Fourth of July lady. So I had no choice but to add it to my playlist.
Glad you listened?
I had fun listening to your playlist while I ironed our clothes for the big Tech Team celebration service! Billy Joel makes me all nostalgic, I'm afraid. :)
ReplyDeleteSarah,
ReplyDeletejust so you know, when I am at Elmhurst College on Mondays, I am always the first one to arrive and so your play list keeps me company while I work- otherwise way too quiet! And I love Billy Joel! ( I'll have to tell you about the concert we went to with him and Elton John) Jenny
