I went to see the surgeon today and guess what? She took the glue stuff off, and with that came the blood and scabs! Hooray! I can see my new belly button. And it's pretty cute, if I might say so myself.
Matt and Molly left yesterday... they are on their way to Texas. Well, actually, they might be there by now. But the point is... they are gone. So far, I'm doing okay... I've talked to her a couple/few times since they left. She better keep this good communication up!
I am on cat, mail, and house patrol for my dad while he's gone. (He went with them, towing his trailer full of their stuff.) I kidnapped the cat, Riley, and he's here... hating every minute of it. Poor guy. He misses Daddy and he hates being away from normalcy. I don't know. We have him in the bathroom... window open and fan on. He LOVES sitting in open windows. I'm pretty sure that's what he lives for. So he's content in there. He won't eat and is hardly drinking... so of course I'm sad and worried. I am hoping it gets better... like, soon... because Jeff said otherwise I have to take him back to my dad's. Sad.
Oh! Did I mention that Riley killed a bird? Mmhmm... he's an indoor cat. The bird came inside. I found it... dead... with blood and guts. Ew. And my dad disposed of the poor deceased bird, and let me know it was a female cardinal. Wow. That's even worse. Right? I mean... I think so. It is our state bird after all. (Can Riley get arrested for killing our state bird?)
Okay. So I might move to Alaska. Not really, but hello? Who is supposed to live in this heat and like it? Or at least be comfortable? Not me. I was so not born for this. And I am just about ready to quit. Thank God for air conditioning. And thank God that summer is only usually 2-3 months long. I have the rest of the year to stay happier.
You know? I hate the bitter cold and icy snow... but it sure beats the heat and humidity any day. Maybe. I think. Or as Little M would say "I sink so."
Speaking of her, and other random children that I babysit...
Since I am cleared by the surgeon, I can get back to babysitting! Woo hoo! I called Little M's mom to let her know, and I'm babysitting a friend's little girl tomorrow afternoon. Life is slowly getting back to normal. I like normal.
don't move to alaska, their state bird is the mosquito. i miss cardinals.
