Speaking of my dad...
Today I was running around, and when I got home, I was surprised to find my front door unlocked and my (enclosed) porch door wide open. This is not normal. I poked my head in and dropped off the load in my arms. The only person with a key to the house besides Jeff or myself is my dad. "Hello?" I kinda called, a bit worried. I had just talked to my dad on the phone just minutes before arriving home. He would've told me if he had plans to come over. I called again, a little bit louder "Is anyone here?"
Then, I went into panic mode. I remembered something I thought about yesterday. I have been getting phone calls from a local cell phone... several times a day. I answer, because I always wonder if it's a family member. When I answer, they just hang up. But it happens daily and it happens multiple times a day! I started to wonder yesterday if somebody was calling to see if I was home... like, they might be waiting for me to not be home.
I ran out of the house and called my dad. He understood my concern and rushed over. Together, we entered the house and everything looked just fine. Nothing was missing. Nothing was messy or out of place. Nobody was lurking around. Hmmm...
I apologized for making him come over. He reassured me it was just fine. And then he headed out.
I went back into the house and saw that on the caller ID that the cell phone number had called about 30 minutes prior! Freakishly strange, in my opinion.
Nothing seems wrong, though. And hooray for my dad for comforting me and escorting me into my house. I told you he was wonderful! Did I not?
Ser Fritsch...there is a thing online that is reverse lookup. You can type in the phone number, and see what it says. If nothing comes up, call the non-emergency police number, they can tell you what to do about it. I hope it stays ok...that's kind of creepy weirdish!
