Just A Dream?

Last week I had a particularly disturbing dream. It wasn't so much of a nightmare, but just a disturbing dream. I have told a few people about it, and they think I'm crazy. (Jeff is one of them.) But because it was so... strange... I want to share it. And feel free to make some comments. I'd like to hear your feedback about this.

Okay- the dream started:

My sisters (Jessica and Molly) and I were somewhere (unidentifiable), with my cats (and my cat from my dad's house). We were hiding them in a basement area, giving them food and water. I was kissing each one and telling them that I loved them and that I might not see them again.

Meanwhile, Jessica and Molly are somewhat quickly packing backpacks while a loud siren blares from outside. It isn't a tornado siren. For those of you that watch "Lost," it's the loud beeping type noise that the hatch makes when you need to press the numbers into the computer. (So much for a wonderful explanation!)

I can feel myself being scared. And Jessica keeps pretty much quiet, not showing any emotion. Molly, on the other hand (the youngest) is smiling and keeps saying "This is so exciting, isn't it?" I kept replying "I don't know! I don't know what's going on." Molly states, still smiling, "This is it, Sarah! This is what all Christians have been waiting for! This is when Satan loses and Christ is the Ruler of everything!" So now, I realize this must be the second coming of Christ. I was still confused.

We exit the building we were in, and there are crowds of people making their way down the street. We join the crowds and walk until we arrive at an open grassy area. There are some picnic tables scattered around. My sisters and I find one and sat down. Molly continues to be excited. And again, I ask for clarification. "Is Jesus going to come right now?" Molly replies "No, probably not. But this is when all the world realizes that Jesus is King of all... and Satan will lose!" She is still smiling.

My mom walks over (no emotions showing on her face either way) and joins us.

Suddenly, a loud voice shouts from what seemed like the sky (no, it wasn't God... it had to have been somebody evil): "On the count of three! 1...2...3!" My sisters and mom all sink below the table. I follow and do the same. And then a canon type bomb is shot across the crowds. It missed us. Everybody around us cheered and they were praising God (I said a quiet little "Thank You, God" prayer). Then, the voice comes back. "Onto round two. On the count of three... 1...2...3." And again- another canon bomb is shot across the crowds. Missed us again. More people clap and praise God. This continued for one more round, and yes, we made it through that round too.

Then, there were guys walking around dividing up the "survivors." I looked over, and my dad was walking toward us (no emotions on his face). I ran to give him a hug, but somebody grabbed my arm, and my dad's arm, and tossed us into a crowd. We followed that crowd to wherever it was going. I didn't even look back at Mom, Jessica, or Molly. I guess I knew they'd be okay and that I'd see them eventually.

Daddy and I stood in a long line. I observed everybody around me. Nobody was sad, nobody was hurt. It was strange. We got to the front of the line and there was a man there that started dressing us with some sort of modern day armor. There was a helmet, a fireproof body suit that zipped up, and then some shoes. My shoes didn't fit me. Dad's fit him. I asked the guy "Well, are you going to find me some new shoes?" And he shouted at me. "No talking!" Dad was led away and I was alone.

Soon, a nice lady came over, smiling at me. She led me to another area where she got me some other things. I asked her about the shoes. She laughed. "You're so silly. Do you think that God would not protect your feet? He has gotten you this far, why would He let anything happen to you?" For some reason, I was able to easily believe what she said.

Then, I was in another long line... I wasn't sure what it was for. When I finally got to the front of the line, there stood Satan. (Okay- side note. For those of you that watch "Lost," Satan- in my dream- was Benjamin Linus.) I just stared at him, and he at me. That was it. Then I quietly said "My victory is in Jesus Christ." He didn't do anything. Then I walked away!

...and that's where I woke up!
