*sigh*

This is Bailey... who knows what she was doing.
Bailey is watching the squirrel outside. I think they're friends.

Eloise (in the pink) and Evie (white) make cookies!

My grandpa was admitted to the hospital today... again. He was just there... in November or December or something. This time I'm pretty sure it's the flu virus. It's really hit the family... and he's had it rough.

I had Evie and Eloise over today, my nieces. We had a fun day. They were so excited that I let them play with paper dolls. Ha ha ha ha. And we made lunch. I sort of wimped out on making grilled cheese for Eloise, so I convinced her we'd try to make it the way Uncle Jeff does. So I toasted the bread in the toaster, then I put butter and cheese on it and popped in the mircowave! Ta da! She ate it! Evie made her own PB&J sandwich. We also made chocolate chip cookies (this is my guilty obsession right now). The girls pretty much did the work. It was a blast... and the cookies are WONDERFUL! (I'm trying my best to save them for our Bible study tomorrow!) We also watched a movie, which is a huge treat for the girls. We put in Shirley Temple's "Curly Top." Eloise told me "I wish I lived in a house with lots of kids." (Curly is in an orphanage.) And Evie was so into the feelings of the people in the movie- her facial expressions mirrored the ones on the TV. It made me laugh.

I brought Bailey (the baby kitty) into the vet this morning to get spayed and declawed. I was so sad to leave her. She was actually scared! Usually when we go to the doctor, she's excited and she's a show off! The receptionist asked me if I wanted them to call when surgery was over... just to let me know how she's doing. I was so quick to say "YES PLEASE!!!" Then I laughed... "Can you tell I don't have children... just cats." They did call, and said Bailey was doing well. We get to pick her up tomorrow around 11am. I can't wait!

Sydney has sort of enjoyed being center of attention. I wonder if he thinks she's gone for good. Hmmm...

I thought I'd add a picture of the girls making cookies here, since I can't share the cookies, I'll share the picture. Enjoy!
