Christmas

Well, the Christmas decorations are all up, Christmas music seems to play whenever we're at home, and I even have a few gifts wrapped and under the tree. This is my favorite time of year. As kids, my parents told us right away about Santa, so I already knew all that stuff... they didn't want us to believe in Santa, and find out later he's not real because they wanted us to believe in God, and they didn't want us to think HE was a lie too... I can appreciate that. And I see my sister doing the same with her girls, which I really appreciate. Although we didn't believe in Santa, we still had a wonderful Christmas. My parents made is so special for us... from traditions to gifts and then to church... every little piece of it was so wonderful. I'm trying to capture some of that feeling you get as a child... the excitement, anticipation, and joy. This season comes and goes way too quickly. I just want to hold onto it for a little bit.
